How to Know God
Knowing God is as simple as A,B,C!
A
A= Admit you are a sinner.
Sin is anything we say, do, or think that displeases God.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
B
B= Believe that Jesus is the son of God who died to pay for your sin, and rose again from the dead.
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
C
C= Choose to call upon Jesus Christ in faith, trusting Him alone to forgive your sin and save you.
Romans 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:13
God's Free gift of salvation is very simple (Ephesians 2:8,9). Jesus died for every individual (2Peter 3:9). God does not force anyone but rather gives us the opportunity to choose to believe him and his word (John 3:16). Salvation is given to us when we realize our sin and by faith (believing God) ask him for his free gift. Once we receive the free gift, we are adopted into his family, our sins, are forgiven, and our eternity is secure in Christ.
1 John 5:13 "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
